Vincent Genovese

The Pottsville Maroons & the NFL's Stolen Championship of 1925,
Author Vincent Genovese will be joined by contributing author, Jason Genovese, poet, Bill Gaydos and Maroons aficionado, Dr. Jack Dolbin to discuss this carefully researched book.  In addition to documenting their local history and their unparalleled athletic dominance on the football field, Mr. Genovese documents the political "raw deal" that stripped the notorious Pottsville Maroons of their 1925 championship title.  A must-read for anyone interested in Schuylkill County history and/or the Pottsville Maroons.

This is Vincent Genovese's third book. He is retired and worked as a counselor, personnel consultant and taught college psychology.

Jason is Vincent's son and a contributing author to the book. Jason teaches at Bloomsburg University and is completing work on his PhD at Penn State.

Bill Gaydos has served in the public schools of Pa. for 35 years as a speech therapist and teacher of the Deaf/HI. He has written a trilogy of poems about the tragic crash of Flight 93 in Shanksville, Pa. on 9-11 which have been aired on WBRE-TV. "The Mighty Maroons" is his first published Poem.
