Special Event

Tuesday April 28, 2009
Host: Mandy Fitzpatrick
It's that time of the year again...time for the Dine Out event to raise funds
for
Schuylkill Wellness Services (SWS). SWS is an agency that provides
Prevention Education, Case Management for HIV, and HIV/STD Screenings. Lazy Dog
Coffeehouse, along with 9 other restaurants will generously donate 20% of the
evenings food receipts to SWS.
Simply enjoy dining at Lazy Dog Coffeehouse and be a participant in bringing
awareness and help for a good cause.
The Lazy Dog is participating for the first time this year, and will be the
first restaurant to provide entertainment for their guests! Minersville native
Kate (Ehlinger) Assiran will be making the trip from Philadelphia to perform for
the participants.
There will also be several raffle ticket options:
(1) the Grand Raffle, which includes a $500 cash prize
(2) an in-house 50/50 raffle
(3) door prizes

volunteers, corporate sponsors and restaurants. In 1991 Dining Out For Life®
was created by an ActionAIDS volunteer in Philadelphia. Dining Out is now
produced in over 55 cities throughout the United States and Canada. An average
five to six cities are added each year. More than 3,500 restaurants donate a
portion of their proceeds from this one special night of dining to the licensed
agency in their city. Nearly $4 million dollars a year is raised to support the
missions of agencies throughout North America.
