About Spirit Day
Spirit Day was born in 1995 by the Minersville Business and
Professional Association following the 7-year absence of Super Sunday, which
took place from 1978 to 1988.
Spirit Day is now in its 14th year, with over
120 vendors participating. The purpose of Spirit Day is to help all
organizations - fire companies, civic clubs, churches, schools - raise funds
they so badly need in order to achieve their mission and have a lot of fun along
the way. Anyone can be a vendor during Spirit Day by renting a 12-foot space.
Spirit Day is always held on the first Sunday after Labor Day. This year it is
September 13th. All varieties of ethnic foods, crafts, baked goods, games, rides
and flea markets will be enjoyed. Entertainment, including our own Minersville
Area High School Band, will perform throughout the day. It is sure to be a fun
day for all ages.
