TONY SEO
Tony Seo started music at an early age.
He started playing drums and percussion in the 4th grade and continued all
through high school. He started playing guitar in 1969, and played regularly
for 20 years. He took a break for a few years, and decided in the summer of
2006, that it was time to get back to playing. Along the way he earned a B.A. in
Music from Penn State and a Masters in Music composition from the University of
South Carolina. His first CD, "Forgotten Walls", was released in November of
2007. His second CD, "Last Sun", was released in November of 2008, and he is
currently working on a new CD for 2009 titled "Angels On Fyre". His music is an
exciting and intense blend of Celtic, rock, and classical influences for the
acoustic guitar. A number of his songs have been in the top 10 of their
respective sub-categories on the SoundClick.Com play charts.

TARA HESS
2nd Place (tie) 2009 TOP DOG Karaoke Competition
I love to listen to music that makes
you get out of your seat. I love music that has a lot of soul! I grew up
listening to everything from Motown to Harry Belefonte. Mostly, I like to sing
50's through 70's music. On any given Thursday, you can find our "regular" table
at open mic night. Other than Thursday, you can find me at home with my husband,
Dave, son, Bo, and our four dogs! Baby Hess, the sequal, is due June 8th! My day
job is teaching 1st graders at John S. Clarke!

I was
born and raised in Schuylkill Haven. I was shy most of my life, but, at age 42
karaoke brought me out and singing just lifted me up. I have a CD that I
recorded about 3 years ago which has my song Seasons Change on it. I have two
wonderful sons, Nick, 27 and Shawn, 25, and I am married to my husband Buddy for
almost 30 years.

ERROL STROUSE
WINNER: 2009 TOP DOG Karaoke Competition
My name is Errol Strouse and I have always had a great fear
of getting up in front of people - until last September when “a friend” Michelle
put my name in at the Lazy Dog to sing karaoke. When my name was called the
first time I refused to go on stage. But, I did go up at the end of the night
when there were only about ten people left in the place. Since that night I have
been back to sing at all but one open-mic nights. I really enjoy singing and I
hope the audience likes my singing. So far I haven’t been thrown out of the Lazy
Dog, but I was hooked off the stage once for bad singing. Before my Dog days, I
used to sing to my son and daughter until they were big enough to run away. I
didn’t sing in the shower, but I was always singing when I was driving or
operating backhoes or loaders. I did sing karaoke one time before one time before at a 25th
wedding anniversary, but I was three sheets to the wind - or was it I sang three
sheets to the wind? I am looking forward to performing at the 'Best of Open Mic',
and I hope everybody has an enjoyable evening.
