SCOTTI MANN

Known to many as "The Next Era in Blue-eyed Soul", Scotti Mann
takes Pop/R&B to the next level by combining influences like Sting and Steely
Dan with Stevie Wonder and Prince. He began singing and playing drums at age
three. At age 15 he taught himself keyboards and was hired by his father Cooky
for his band, The Hits. He then began writing original songs.
His father introduced him to Bennie Simms, a local and international music guru
who hired Scotti for his band, The Groovemasters. After 2 years, he joined east
coast powerhouse band Johnny O and the Classic Dogs of Love. The cover legend
honed Scotti's soul skills as well as stage presence. It was during this period
that Scotti was also performing re-mix vocals for Sybersound (Dance Mixes) CDs.
Within 3 years Scotti caught the attention of Boyz 2 Men who hired him to help a
young group signed to their label known as The Outsiders. Deciding to strike out
on his own and expand his musical landscape, Scotti moved to New York and signed
with Stray Dog Music while working with artists such as Foxy Brown, Celine Dion,
Brand New Heavies, Mya, and others.
Heavily rooted in R&B, Scotti's music ranges from soulful melodies with a
message to poetic love songs, to grooves so funky you can't sit still. Now,
after many years of experience, reuniting with producer Bennie Simms, and an
impressive catalog of songs, the time has come for Scotti Mann to take the
spotlight.
