Lazy Dog Coffeehouse "Open Mic/Karaoke September 2010" CD
We will be recording a live souvenir CD which will be compiled from performances September 23, 2010 and September 30, 2010. Inclusion on the CD is optional. The CD will not be sold for profit; there will be no money or royalties paid to performers, and all sound recordings and/or photographs taken will become the property of Lazy Dog Coffeehouse. Material performed will be at the discretion of the performer; song selection for inclusion on the CD will be at the discretion of the Lazy Dog. Any performance not meeting our standards of quality and appropriateness will not be considered. Some performers or performances may need to be excluded due to time constraints of the recording media.

FEBRUARY AND AUGUST ARE GUEST HOST MONTHS!

Everyone is welcome, from seasoned players to first-timers.
Event charge: $1 per person.

One of the best nights of the week to come to the Lazy Dog is open mic night. Hear every type of music from every type of genre. Sit back, relax and enjoy the up and coming future of local and regional music. The talent is typically quite amazing - many of the performers at open mic come back to play as headliners!

Our open mic is open to performers of all ages.
We happily consider any music, art, theatre, dance, spoken word, or other performance that is suited to our space and our family-oriented environment. We do not accept punk, hardcore or heavy metal. Also, we do not permit obscenity or lewdness.

Equipment, props and instruments that can easily be carried on stage and quickly set up are all permitted. Acoustic and electric guitars are permitted, however, amplifiers and drum kits are not. If you have an electric guitar, you can use an effects pedal so long as it is well behaved, and does not introduce buzz, hum or other noise into our system. If you are planning to attend an open mic session and have any question about what you can and cannot bring, please email us.

Open mic sessions are first-come, first-available. Requests made through our music manager ahead of time are welcome. Dates can be requested via email through our website, or you can just show up at 6:30 pm Thursday and fill out a request form.
